Principle of electro-hydraulic actuator
Open the valve. The hydraulic pump (6) pushes the hydraulic oil in the oil storage chamber (3) to flow into the pressure chamber (8), thereby moving the pressure cylinder (2) downward. The valve stem (11) contracts and the valve opens. At the same time, the return spring (4) is compressed.
Close the valve. Actuating the solenoid valve (5) allows the hydraulic oil in the pressure chamber to flow back to the oil storage chamber. The compressed spring is released to push the pressure cylinder upward. The valve stem is extended and the valve is closed.
Manual operation mode. Turn the manual regulator (1) clockwise to move the pressure cylinder down and open the valve. At the same time, the return spring is compressed.
In manual operation mode, the control signals Y and Z can further open the valve, but cannot move to the "0%" stroke position of the valve. If you want to set the position manually, turn off the power or interrupt the control signals Y and Z, the "MAN" red indicator light will be on.
Note: Controller for manual operation. When setting the controller for manual operation for a longer period of time, it is recommended to adjust the actuator to the desired position through manual adjustment. This ensures that the actuator remains in this position during this period of time. Note: When the controller is set to automatic control, don't forget to switch to automatic operation.
Automatic mode. Rotate the manual adjuster counterclockwise to the end limit. The pressure cylinder moves up to the "0%" stroke position of the valve. The red indicator light marked "MAN" goes out.
Minimum volume flow. The actuator can be manually adjusted to a stroke position> 0% for applications that require a constant minimum volume flow.
Spring return function. SKC32.61, SKC82.61... and SKC62... actuators have a spring return function and are equipped with a solenoid valve that opens when the control signal is lost or power is cut off. The return spring makes the actuator return to the "0%" stroke position and closes the valve, which meets the safety requirements of DIN 32730.
