The central air conditioning industry is steadily developing in China and is closely related to our daily lives. Relatively speaking, the lithium bromide absorption cooling and heating water unit itself is an energy-saving equipment, and its heating source can be low-grade heat sources such as waste heat and waste heat. From an overall perspective, the comprehensive utilization rate of energy is very high.
In industrial production, a large amount of waste heat is often generated. Improving the recovery and utilization efficiency of waste heat is beneficial for improving the overall energy utilization efficiency of industrial production. In the past decade, Flier Refrigeration has provided a large number of energy-saving solutions and equipment for industries such as steel and chemical industry based on different types of heat source recovery. Among them, the projects of steam to hot water and steam to circulating ammonia water are the most distinctive and effective.
Taking a certain coking plant as an example, the cooling capacity demand of the coking plant branch is about 1800 × 104 kcal/hour. Before the renovation, three steam type lithium bromide absorption refrigeration mechanisms were used to obtain low-temperature cold water, with a total steam consumption of about 23 tons/hour. It is used from mid May to mid October every year, with a total of 153 days of operation. Based on this estimation, the annual steam consumption is approximately 23 × 24 × 153=84556 tons.
After the renovation, the driving heat source of the bromine cooler was replaced with high-temperature ammonia water, which is an internal energy source in the coking plant. There is no need to consume steam anymore, and the annual steam consumption is reduced by about 84556 tons
At the same time, as the unit no longer requires steam for driving, the usage of steam boilers can also be reduced. The emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides generated by burning natural gas while driving steam boilers will be correspondingly reduced, which has considerable environmental benefits.

The energy-saving transformation of bromine chillers mainly focuses on changing the type of heat source, such as changing steam type units to hot water, gas, and ammonia type units; Changing a gas-fired unit to a steam or hot water unit - the specific renovation plan depends on the actual needs of the user on site.
