An aqueous solution of lithium bromide is used as the working fluid, in which water is the refrigerant and lithium bromide is the absorbent. Lithium bromide is a salt, white crystal, easily soluble in water and alcohol, non-toxic, chemically stable, and will not deteriorate. When there is air in the lithium bromide aqueous solution, it is highly corrosive to steel. Lithium bromide absorption refrigerators can only be used for air conditioning equipment and cold water used in the production process because water is used as the refrigerant, and the evaporation temperature is above 0°C. This kind of refrigerator can use low-pressure steam or hot water above 75°C as a heat source, so it plays an important role in the utilization of exhaust gas, waste heat, solar energy and low-level heat energy.
Before operation of the unit, a certain amount of lithium bromide solution has been added. However, during the operation of the unit, the amount of lithium bromide solution added may not be appropriate, and necessary adjustments should be made. When the liquid level of the absorber is too high, the excess solution should be discharged through the drain valve; when the liquid level of the absorber is too low, the lithium bromide solution should be supplemented. The specific operation steps are as follows.
1. Addition of solution
1. The lithium bromide unit generally has a solution filling port near the solution pump and a diaphragm valve switch.
2. Generally, plastic steel wire pipes can be used for refilling, but pipes with soft materials that are easy to be sucked and collapsed are not allowed.
3. The place where the pipe is inserted into the filling port should be fully tightened to prevent the vacuum state air from leaking into the unit.
4. Pour the solution into a larger container, generally about 200 liters. In order to prevent impurities from being poured, it is best to cover it with a filter.
5. Pour the lithium bromide solution into the container nearly full, and pour the solution into the tube to prevent the air in the tube from entering the unit.
6. Insert the tube into the solution in the container and slowly open the diaphragm valve at the suction port.
7. The solution is gradually sucked in by the vacuum unit.
8. Continue to add solution to the container to maintain the liquid level. Be very careful when pouring, and pour slowly to prevent excessive bubbles from entering the unit with the pipe.
9. After filling, suck all the solution in the pipe into the unit to prevent air from entering.
10. Vacuum the unit and exhaust the air that enters during the filling process.
2. Take out the solution
The solution is taken out by the discharge valve at the outlet of the solution pump to directly take the solution out of the unit, because the pressure after the discharge valve is usually greater than the atmospheric pressure. During the dispensing process, the valve should not be opened too much, otherwise it will affect the amount of solution sent to the generator.
For single-effect units, the pressure behind the discharge valve at the outlet of the solution pump is not necessarily positive. If the pressure is positive, you can directly discharge the liquid, if it is negative pressure, you can not directly discharge the liquid. The simple way to judge the positive and negative pressure is: block the outlet of the sampling valve with your thumb, and then slowly open the sampling valve. If the pressure is felt by the thumb, it is positive pressure, and if it is suction, it is negative pressure. If the liquid is discharged from the sampling valve of the concentrated solution, the solution cannot be discharged because of the negative pressure here. The liquid dispensing method is the same as the operation method of taking out the refrigerant water.
