Introduction of PVD series vacuum pump
Among the lithium bromide absorption refrigerators, the most commonly used is the Aifaco PVD series rotary vane vacuum pump. This vacuum pump has stable exhaust characteristics, good air tightness, simple structure, small number of parts, low operating noise, and easy maintenance and repair.
The common models are PVD-N180 and PVD-N360. Different models of pumps have different parameters such as power, pumping rate and oil filling capacity, but the ultimate pressure is the same.
Precautions for the use of vacuum pumps

Environmental conditions during operation: 4°C~40°C, relative humidity below 80% (no condensation), no corrosive and explosive gases, avoid direct sunlight, and keep away from heat sources.
Use of pump oil
Due to different types of pump oil, its vapor pressure, viscosity and oiliness will also be different, which directly affects the performance of the pump, so it is necessary to use special oil for vacuum pumps. Commonly used oils are ULVOIL R-7 and ULVOIL R-4.
Precautions when using
1. When the vacuum pump is running, make sure that the exhaust port is unblocked. Otherwise, the internal pressure of the vacuum pump will rise, which will easily cause damage to the casing and overload the motor.
2. During the operation of the vacuum pump, in order to ensure normal use, the oil level should always be kept slightly above the red dot of the oil window.
3. The water vapor mixed into the pump oil will emulsify the pump oil. When the oil color turns white or the oil level rises, it means that the vacuum pump oil has emulsification phenomenon. At this time, the oil port should be opened to drain the emulsified oil and condensed water and replace it. Or add new oil and maintain a reasonable oil level.
4. After the vacuum pump is used, the condensed water should be discharged in time through the oil drain to avoid internal corrosion of the pump body.
5. This series of vacuum pumps is equipped with a gas ballast valve, whose function is to introduce external air from the gas ballast hole, so that the condensable gas is not liquefied, and is directly discharged from the pump body through the exhaust valve. When the unit is running, there is a large amount of water vapor in the system. If the system is directly pumped at this time, it is recommended to open the gas ballast valve.
6. After the vacuum pump belt is loose, it is easy to cause the motor to overheat. Therefore, the tightness of the belt must be checked regularly. The standard value of PVD-N180 and PVD-N360 belt deflection is 3.5mm.
7. When the pump is parked for a long time and the ambient temperature is low, the pump is not easy to start. At this time, the pulley should be manually turned for a few times, and then jogged to ensure that the vacuum pump can operate normally.
8. During the operation of the vacuum pump, the temperature will rise (60~80℃), so beware of burns.
9. If the solution enters the vacuum pump, all the liquid in the vacuum pump must be discharged immediately; add hot water, run for a few minutes and then drain it, repeat several times until the pump body is cleaned. Then add new oil, let the vacuum pump run for a period of time, and then drain the oil to ensure that no water and solution remain in the pump.
