The impact of low temperature cooling water on the unit
The lithium bromide absorption refrigeration unit is driven by thermal energy and achieves refrigeration through solution circulation and refrigerant water circulation under high vacuum conditions. Its operating efficiency is closely related to the temperature of the cooling water. According to the design specifications, the standard operating condition for the inlet temperature of cooling water is 32 ℃. In actual operation, it is recommended to control it within the range of 28-32 ℃ to balance efficiency and stability. The main reason is that when the inlet temperature of the cooling water decreases, the temperature of the dilute solution in the absorber decreases, and the pressure inside the absorber decreases, causing an increase in the pressure difference between the evaporator and the absorber, an increase in mass transfer driving force, and thus an increase in the absorption effect of the absorber, resulting in an increase in the cooling capacity of the unit.
With the change of external environmental temperature, especially in winter when the external environmental temperature is low, the cooling water temperature cannot be effectively guaranteed, resulting in a low cooling water temperature (<18 ℃). The unit is prone to the following faults when operating at excessively low cooling water temperatures:
1. Crystallization
The inlet temperature of the cooling water is too low, and the outlet temperature of the dilute solution in the absorber decreases. Due to the decrease in cooling water temperature and condenser pressure inside the condenser, the mass fraction of concentrated solution increases. When a concentrated solution with a high mass fraction exchanges heat with a dilute solution at a lower temperature through a low-temperature heat exchanger, the concentrated solution with a high mass fraction is prone to crystallization, causing poor circulation of the unit solution, resulting in the unit not cooling or even shutting down due to malfunction.
2. Insufficient refrigerant water
The temperature of the cooling water is too low, and the absorption effect inside the absorber is too good. The concentrated solution sprayed down will absorb most of the refrigerant water in the evaporator, causing insufficient refrigerant water in the evaporator and even causing damage to the pump body due to prolonged suction of the refrigerant pump.
3. Coolant water pollution
The cooling water temperature decreases, the absorption effect inside the absorber is enhanced, and the mass fraction of dilute solution is significantly reduced. At the same time, the pressure inside the condenser also decreases due to the decrease in cooling water temperature. The low concentration of lithium bromide solution in the generator leads to excessive boiling, causing lithium bromide droplets to easily enter the condenser along with refrigerant vapor, resulting in refrigerant water pollution. As the unit operates, the pollution inside the evaporator intensifies, and the unit experiences phenomena such as failure to cool or even absorption of the absorber.
In summary, although low-temperature cooling water can improve the instantaneous efficiency of lithium bromide units, long-term low-temperature operation is prone to hidden dangers such as crystallization and refrigerant water imbalance. To address the issue of refrigerant water pollution, the following measures can be taken for prevention and treatment: firstly, optimize the unit design, such as adjusting the structural parameters of the generator and condenser, to reduce the possibility of lithium bromide droplets entering the condenser with refrigerant vapor; Secondly, strengthen the operation management of the unit, regularly inspect and clean the condenser to prevent the accumulation of pollutants; Furthermore, using high-quality lithium bromide solution can improve the stability and anti pollution ability of the solution; Finally, an intelligent monitoring system is introduced to monitor the temperature of the cooling water and the operating status of the unit in real time. Once signs of refrigerant water pollution are detected, measures are taken immediately to prevent the fault from escalating. By implementing these measures, the operational efficiency and stability of lithium bromide absorption refrigeration units can be further improved.
