As the usage time increases, various malfunctions are inevitable in the lithium bromide absorption refrigeration unit at the user's site. When our technical team arrives at the site, the primary task is to determine what kind of abnormality has occurred in the unit. This article mainly introduces the five basic methods commonly used in the maintenance of lithium bromide absorption refrigeration units: "touch, listen, see, check, and analyze".
1, Touch: Determine equipment status based on unit temperature points
The literal meaning of 'touch' is to feel the temperature, vibration, and other conditions of a device by touching its relevant parts with one's hand. Nowadays, we usually use a thermometer to replace this task, as there are some parts of the unit that are in a high temperature state during operation and cannot be touched blindly.
The temperature points on the unit are interrelated, for example, if the high temperature rises, it will also cause the low temperature and cooling water outlet temperature to rise together; For example, an increase in the inlet temperature of the cooling water will cause an increase in the outlet temperature and condensation temperature of the dilute solution.
Clarifying the numerical distribution and trend of temperature points of the unit under standard operating conditions, and comparing the actual temperature readings detected on site to find out if there are any abnormal values, can be said to be an essential part of unit fault diagnosis.
In addition to the values displayed by the temperature sensor, we also need to monitor or pay attention to the temperature of the melting tube, the temperature of the inlet and outlet of each exchanger, the temperature of the absorber shower plate, the temperature of the shielding pump casing, and so on.
2, Listen up
Listening "refers to using the sound of the unit's operation to determine possible abnormalities. For example, when there are liquid droplets in the heated steam, there will be significant abnormal noise and vibration; If the operation noise of the shielded pump is high, there may be abnormalities in the flow rate or the shielded pump body; If there is intermittent vibration in the high-temperature heat exchanger, it indicates that there may be a problem with the circulation of the intermediate solution.
From the above examples, it can be seen that in order to "listen", we need to first distinguish what kind of abnormal noise it is, and secondly, identify where the abnormal noise occurs. Even the simplest act of opening and closing a water valve can hear the sound of throttling clearly before the valve is about to close. If there is no change in throttling, there is an abnormality. Once at a customer's location served by our company, the unit leaked air during operation and could not be pressurized for leak detection. It was only after hearing a faint suction sound that a leak point was found under the belly of the absorber. All of the above indicates that "listening" is also a very important part of our maintenance process.
3, Look at it
The application of "viewing" in unit maintenance specifically refers to viewing operating data, observing changes in liquid level inside the unit, monitoring pressure distribution, observing electrical control circuits, monitoring the ignition and combustion status of the burner, monitoring the heat dissipation of the cooling tower, and so on.
Check the crew, including eyes, hands, brain, and legs, all of which are essential. As we look more and more, we can discover more and more details, and we can also quickly identify the problem.
4, Check it out
'Check' refers to using instruments to inspect the working conditions of the unit. Experienced masters should also have the awareness of speaking with data when facing crew problems. At present, the situations where instruments are used to detect the working conditions of the unit generally include: using a phase sequencer to measure the direction of the shielded pump; Measure the carbon monoxide content in the flue gas using a flue gas analyzer; Use ultrasonic flowmeter to measure water flow rate; Measure pressure with a pressure gauge; Measure voltage, resistance, etc. with a multimeter. We need to pay attention to and study various testing methods and instruments, and improve our maintenance level through accurate and convenient methods.
5, Analysis
In lithium bromide absorption refrigeration units, there is a clear characteristic of 'pulling one engine can move the whole body'. As mentioned earlier, parameter changes are not isolated and are highly correlated with each other. In addition, there may be many reasons for a certain abnormality. In a document titled 'Reasons for Coolant Water Pollution Malfunctions', we have listed 22 different situations that may cause coolant water pollution in the unit.
This requires us maintenance technicians to have certain analytical and reasoning abilities, and cannot rely solely on instrument measurements or make simple judgments based solely on the significant problems presented by the unit.
