How To Dehumidify The Air

The dehumidification treatment of air includes dehumidification treatment in the cooling process of air in the water spray chamber, and chemical dehumidification, that is, absorption of moisture in the air by using a hygroscopic agent. There are two types of hygroscopic: solid and liquid. The solid hygroscopic can be divided into two types: the form of the solid hygroscopic remains unchanged after moisture absorption and the form of the solid hygroscopic gradually changes to the liquid form after moisture absorption.

The solid hygroscopic agent includes silica gel, activated alumina and other materials. When the hygroscopic capacity is lost, the absorbed water can be removed by using high-temperature air to restore the ability of re absorption.

The liquid hygroscopic agent can be sprayed in the treated air with solutions such as potassium chloride, so that the water vapor pressure of the liquid is lower than the partial pressure of water vapor in the treated air, and the water is transferred from the air to the hygroscopic agent.

Solid hygroscopic are mostly porous materials, which have a strong adsorption effect on water vapor.

Chemical dehumidification is mainly used in industrial air conditioning systems requiring low humidity.
