The substance with a low boiling point is called the refrigerant, and the substance with a high boiling point is called the adsorbent, usually referred to as the working fluid pair

        Lithium bromide absorption refrigeration machine utilizes the characteristic that lithium bromide aqueous solution can strongly absorb water vapor at low temperatures and release the absorbed water vapor at high temperatures to complete the working cycle. In the evaporator, the refrigerant (water) vaporizes and absorbs heat at very low pressure to achieve the purpose of refrigeration. The lithium bromide absorption refrigeration unit is mainly composed of a generator, condenser, evaporator, absorber, throttle valve, solution pump, and solution heat exchanger. Usually, the generator, condenser, evaporator, and absorber are combined in one or two closed cylinders. The working process of the lithium bromide absorption refrigeration unit is to pump the dilute lithium bromide solution from the generator into the generator through the heat exchanger, Heating by the working steam inside the generator tube cluster. Due to the much lower boiling point of water in the solution compared to lithium bromide, when the dilute solution is heated to a certain temperature, the water in the solution vaporizes into refrigerant water vapor. The refrigerant water vapor is separated from the droplets carried by the water baffle and enters the condenser. It is cooled by the cooling water in the condenser tube cluster and condensed into refrigerant water. After being throttled by a U-shaped tube, the refrigerant water enters the water tray of the evaporator, And it is pumped by the evaporator to the spray device of the evaporator. The refrigerant water is evenly sprayed on the outer surface of the evaporator tube cluster. Due to absorbing the heat of the chilled water inside the tube, it vaporizes into refrigerant water vapor, and the temperature of the chilled water inside the tube decreases after cooling.

        The refrigerant water vapor inside the evaporator is fully separated by the water blocking plate and enters the absorber. It is absorbed by the lithium bromide intermediate solution sprayed on the outer surface of the absorber tube cluster by the pump from the absorber (the concentrated solution after heat exchange from the generator solution is mixed with the dilute solution in the absorber to form the intermediate solution). The absorption heat released during the absorption process is carried away by the cooling water inside the absorber tube cluster. The intermediate solution absorbs the refrigerant water vapor and becomes a dilute solution, which is then sent to the solution exchanger by generator pump 1 and enters the intermediate circulation heating for heating. This continuous circulation continuously produces cooling capacity.

        The purpose of installing a solution heat exchanger in a lithium bromide absorption refrigeration unit is to improve the economy of the refrigeration unit. Because the temperature of the concentrated solution coming out of the generator is higher, the temperature of the dilute solution coming out of the absorber is lower. After heat exchange, the temperature of the dilute solution increases, thereby reducing the consumption of working steam in the generator. The temperature of the concentrated solution decreases, resulting in a decrease in the cooling water volume in the absorber.
